Brewers drop second straight to Cubs

Milwaukee dropped game three of the four game series to the Chicago Cubs 4-2 at  Wrigley Field on Wednesday night.  Starting pitcher Kyle Lohse (11-7) left the game after the third inning with an ankle injury.  Lohse appeared to tweak the ankle after striking out in the top of the third.  He came out in the bottom of the inning and gave up back to back home runs as the Cubs built a 4-0 lead.  Lohse took the loss giving up four earned runs on seven hits while striking out three and walking one.

Rickie Weeks and Martin Maldonado tried to get the Brewers back in the game during the seventh inning as they homered in consecutive at-bats, but the Cubs bullpen held the Crew scoreless over the final two innings.

Milwaukee dropped to 66-55 on the year, they will look to even the series against the Cubs Thursday afternoon at Wrigley.  You can hear that game on 1150-WHBY,  first pitch scheduled for 1:20 p.m. with the pre-game show beginning at 12:45 p.m.
