Packers trade Worthy to New England



The Green Bay Packers traded DE Jerel Worthy to the New England Patriots for a conditional draft pick.  The move is pending a physical.

Worthy is entering his third year in the NFL.  The 2012 second round draft pick played in 14-games as a rookie before an ACL injury ended his season.  He spent the first half of 2013 on the PUP list before being activated late in the season and only saw action in 2-games.  This year, Worthy started the season on the PUP list after he injured his back lifting weights in the offseason. 

He appeared in 16-games as a Packer.  He recorded 15-tackles, 2.5-sacks, and forced a fumble.
