Maldonado's bat hot as Brewers shut out Rays

Martin Maldonado provided the spark in the Brewers 5-0 shutout of the Tampa Bay Rays.  Maldonado tied a career-high with 4 RBI's.  Winning pitcher Yovani Gallardo (6-5) allowed three hits over seven innings with one walk and 5 strike outs.  Gallardo is now in fifth place on the Brewers career list with 87 wins.   Zach Duke took over for Gallardo in the 8th and Francisco Rodriguez came in in the 9th to get the save.  David Price took the loss for Tampa Bay allowing four runs and seven hits over seven innings.  The Brewers avoided the sweep by taking the final game in this 3 game series.  The Brewers have the day off Thursday.  They travel to St. Louis to take on the Cardinals in a Friday night game. It's a 6:40 pre-game with first pitch at 7:15.  You can catch all the action on News-Talk 1150 WHBY.
