Klein ready for year two

The Carolina Panthers are scheduled to report Thursday to Wofford College in Spartanburg, S.C.  That means former Kimberly Papermaker Standout A.J. Klein is about to begin his second Training Camp with the team.

Klein was drafted by the Panthers in the 5th round of the 2013 draft.  He played in all 16-games for the team while making a pair of starts.  Last year, the focus for Klein was adjusting to the NFL life along with getting ready for the season.  This year, it’s more about football.

Klein talks about the differences this year compare to last

The process for Klein was made easier as a rookie because of his teammates.  Klein had one of the league’s best linebackers, Luke Kuechly, and a handful of other vets that helped him make the adjustment.

A big part of the offseason for NFL players is getting away from football.  The grind can sometimes be as taxing mentality as it is physically.  Klein says he has many outlets away from football that he can escape to.

An admitted Packer fan growing up in the Fox Cities, Klein will get a chance to live out a dream later this year.  Carolina visits Green Bay in Week 7 of the season, October 19th.
