Brewers Can't Solve Reds Riddle
Cincinnati center fielder Billy Hamilton continued his tear against the Brewers this season as he hit a 2-run homer off Milwaukee starter Kyle Lohse to help the Reds (44-41) over the Brewers (51-36) 4-2 Friday night at Great American Ball Park. The 4th of July fireworks started early for the Reds as they built a 4-0 lead after five innings. Lohse took the loss (9-3) going just five innings while giving up three earned runs on seven hits. Milwaukee cut the lead to 4-2 after a solo home run by Johnathan Lucroy in the 8th, but the Brewers went down in order in the 9th as Reds closer Aroldis Chapman picked up his 17th save of the year. It was the 4th straight loss for the Brewers who are 2-6 against the Reds this season and 6-17 at Great American Ball Park since 2012. The Brewers and Reds are back in action tomorrow afternoon with first pitch scheduled for 3:10 p.m.
