Brewers knock off the Rockies

The Brewers defeated the Colorado Rockies 7-4 at Miller Park on Saturday afternoon.  Carlos Gomez belted out a three-run home run in the first inning and Ryan Braun added two more runs with a two RBI triple.  Pitcher Matt Garza (5-5) pitched 6 2/3 innings, four strikeouts, allowed four earned-runs and got the win.  Closer Francisco Rodriguez record his 27th save with a scoreless ninth inning.  Milwaukee goes to 51-32 and will go for the four-game series sweep against Colorado on Sunday afternoon.  You can hear that game on 1150-WHBY with pre-game at 12:35pm and first-pitch at 1:10pm.
