YO- VANI, Gallardo's Pinch Hit Gives Crew Walk-Off Win
Brewers pitcher Yovani Gallardo delivered a pinch-hit double that drove home the winning run with two outs in the 10th inning Tuesday night, sending the Milwaukee Brewers over the Orioles 7-6. With the pitcher's spot on deck and knowing Milwaukee was out of position players, the Orioles intentionally walked Mark Reynolds with two outs and no one on base in the 10th. Milwuakee manager Ron Roenicke sent up Gallardo to bat for reliever Francisco Rodriguez. Gallardo with 12 career home runs was only 1-14 at the plate on the season entering the at-bat. Gallardo then drove a 2-0 pitch from T.J. McFarland to deep center field to win it. The Brewers blew an early 5-0 lead, but tied it at six with two outs in the ninth on an infield single by Jonathan Lucroy. Carlos Gomez, Mark Reynolds and Khris Davis all homered for the Crew as they were able to tie the series at one game apiece. Milwaukee will turn to Tuesday's hero as Gallardo will take the mound as the Brewers starter in an effort to win the series and take the rubber game. Coverage begins at 6:35 p.m.with first pitch to follow at 7:10 p.m.
