Green Bay Packers 2014 Draft Class

After 3-days, 7-rounds and 256-picks, the 2014 NFL Draft wrapped up this weekend.  The Green Bay Packers made 9-selections throughout the event addressing both sides of the ball adding 5-offensive and 4-defensive players. This was the 10th draft for Ted Thompson as General Manager of the Packers and was the first time he did not make a draft day trade.

Here is the Packers 2014 draft class:

Round 1 (21st overall): Hs’Sean (Haha) Clinton-Dix – S – Alabama
Justin Hull spoke with Kirk McNair of BamaMag.com about Clinton-Dix before the draft.  You can listen to that conversation HERE.

Round 2 (53rd overall): Davante Adams – WR – Fresno State

Round 3 (85th overall): Khyri Thornton – DL – Southern Mississippi

Round 3 (98th overall): Richard Rodgers – TE – California

Round 4 (121st overall): Carl Bradford – LB – Arizona State
Justin Hull spoke with Tyler Lockman of Fox Sports Arizona about Bradford before the draft.  You can listen to that conversation HERE.

Round 5 (161st overall): Corey Linsley – C – Ohio State

Round 5 (176th overall): Jared Abbrederis – WR – Wisconsin
Abbrederis is the first Wisconsin Badger Thompson has drafted as GM of the Packers.  There was a thought by many Wisconsin fans that Thompson purposely avoided drafting Badgers.  When asked about it, Thompson replied “that’s not true.  It’s just the way it worked out.”  He added that “there’ve been a number of times when we were anxious to take a Badger and they get taken in front of you.”

Round 6 (197th overall): Demetri Goodson – CB – Baylor

Round 7 (236th overall): Jeff Janis – WR – Saginaw Valley State
