Brewers defeat Yankees on Mother's Day

The Milwaukee Brewers wrapped up their series with the New York Yankees on Mother's Day with a dramatic 6-5 win at Miller Park. Down 3-2 in the sixth inning, the Brewers received RBI hits from Jonathan Lucroy and Logan Schafer, and an RBI fielder's choice from Rickie Weeks to take a 5-3 lead. After the Yankees plated a run in the seventh, closer Francisco Rodriguez (1-0) came out in the ninth and gave up a Mark Teixeira solo home run to tie the game.  In the bottom of the ninth, Mark Reynolds drove in Rickie Weeks on his game-winning RBI single to left. Starting pitcher Matt Garza pitched five innings, giving up three runs on six hits and four walks.  With the win, the Brewers record stands at 24-14 on the season.

The Brewers have off on Monday, but start a three-game series with the Pittsburgh Pirates on Tuesday at Miller Park.  Pregame starts at 6:35pm, with first pitch at 7:10pm on 1150-WHBY.
