Brewers now 18-6 on Season knock off Cubs 5-3

The red hot Milwaukee Brewers continue to have the best record in baseball as once again they defeated the Chicago Cubs 5-3 Saturday night at Miller Park. Marco Estrada pitched 7.2 innings of 4 hit ball striking out 9 and Francisco Rodriguez set a new team record with 11 straight saves to start the season. Jeff Bianchi filled in for an injured Jean Segura and contributed a 2 run single. Segura was hit in the face when Ryan Braun hit him with his bat while warming up in the Brewers dugout. Brewers managerRon Roenicke says Segura did get some stitches but has no concussion or any fractures. Braun also left the game in the 9th inning. Roenicke says he is day to day with an Intercostal strain. The Brewers will look for the series sweep Sunday afternoon against the Cubs. Ist pitch is at 1:10pm.
