Brewers strike first against the Cubs

The Brewers defeated the Chicago Cubs 5-2 at Miller Park on Friday night.  Ryan Braun led the way for Milwaukee batting 3 for 4 with an RBI single.  Lyle Overbay hit the only home run for both teams.  Pitcher Matt Garza (1-2) threw for 7 innings, seven strikeouts, 2 earned runs, and got the win.  Closer Francisco Rodriquez pitched the 9th innings for his 10th save.    Milwaukee improved to 17-6 and will play the second of the three game against Chicago on Saturday night.  You can hear that game on 1150-WHBY with pre-game at 5:35pm and first-pitch at 6:10pm.
