Brewers sink Pirates on Easter Sunday

The Milwaukee Brewers wrapped up their weekend series at PNC Park with a 3-2 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates in 14 innings on Sunday.  Mark Reynolds and Ryan Braun hit game-tying solo home runs in the eighth and ninth innings respectively to help send the game to extra innings tied at 2-2.  The score remained the same till the 14th inning when Khris Davis hit his first home run of the season on a solo blast to left to put the Brewers ahead for good.  Francisco Rodriguez then pitched a scoreless bottom frame to finish off the Pirates for his seventh save of the season.  Zach Duke (1-0) earned the win after pitching two scoreless innings of relief.  Starting pitcher Marco Estrada went six innings allowing one-run on 6-hits for the Brewers.  With the win, the Brewers record leads Major League Baseball at 14-5 on the season.

The Brewers return to Miller Park on Monday to start a three-game series with the San Diego Padres.  Pregame begins at 6:35pm, with first pitch at 7:10pm on 1150-WHBY.
