Brewer’s bats quiet in loss to St. Louis

St. Louis pitchers were dominating for the second straight game, leading the Cardinals to a 6-1 win over the Milwaukee Brewers on Tuesday night.

Right-hander Shelby Miller held the Brewers to three hits through six innings, striking out seven Brewers.  Miller is now 4-0 with a 1.95 ERA in six career starts against Milwaukee.

The Brewers only run off of Miller came in the fourth inning when Aramis Ramirez clubbed a solo home run.

The Brewers entered the series riding a 9-game winning streak.  Now, they’re riding a two-game losing streak and will try to salvage the final game of the series tonight.

In the last two losses, the Brewers are hitting .103 (6 for 58) with one run and 23 strikeouts.

The Cardinals are 25-11 against the Brewers over their last 36 meetings.
