Hawks drop Bucks in season finale
The Milwaukee Bucks couldn't overcome a late charge from the Atlanta Hawks as they lost their season finale at the BMO Harris Bradley Center 111-103 on Wednesday night. After leading 83-82 after three quarters, the Bucks got outscored 29-20 in the final quarter by the playoff-bound Hawks en route to finishing the regular season with the NBA's worst record at 15-67. Brandon Knight led the charge for the Bucks with 31 points and 7 rebounds. The Atlanta Hawks were led by second-year forward Mike Scott's 17 points. With the season now over, the Bucks will now look to be in transition as team owner Herb Kohl announced earlier in the day that a deal was made to sell the team to hedge-fund managers Wesley Edens and Marc Lasry. With the sale of the team now pending league approval, the Bucks now look more certain to stay in Milwaukee, pending a deal is reached with the city to build a new arena.
