Braves deal Brewers First Loss of Season

Freddie Freeman homered twice and Alex Wood allowed only one run in seven innings as the Atlanta Braves defeated the Milwaukee Brewers 5-2 Tuesday night at Miller Park. Carlos Gomez hit the opening pitch of the night for a home run, but that was all Wood gave up to earn his first win of the season. Kyle Lohse struck out a career high 8 batters but was victimized by home runs to Freeman and a two run shot by Jason Heyward that gave the Braves a 2-1 lead. The two teams wrap up their 3 game series Wednesday afternoon at Miller Park.
