Marquette falls again to Creighton

The Marquette Golden Eagles continue to search for answers against the No. 11 Creighton Blue Jays as they fell again to their Big East foe 85-70 on Wednesday night at the BMO Harris Bradley Center.  Marquette early on was able to hang tough and claim a 13-11 lead.  But after a Ethan Wragge three-pointer put the Blue Jays up 1, the visitors didn't look back nor lose the lead again as Marquette allowed Wragge and Doug McDermott to score 22 and 25 points respectively.  Todd Mayo came off the bench and led four Marquette players in double figures with 13 points.  The loss for Marquette is the second of the season against Creighton, as they lost the first matchup 67-49 on New Year's Eve.

Marquette next hits the road to face the DePaul Blue Demons on Saturday.
