Marquette takes down Xavier

At the BMO Harris Bradley Center, the Marquette Golden Eagles picked up their third straight win with a victory over the Xavier Musketeers 81-72 on Saturday afternoon.  Senior guard Jake Thomas led the way for Marquette with a career-high 6 three-pointers, which attributed to all of his 18 points in the contest.  Also Jamil Wilson and Davante Gardner each contributed 16 points for the Golden Eagles, who are now riding their longest winning streak of the season to date.  Justin Martin led Xavier in the loss with 20 points and 7 rebounds.


Marquette remains at home to face Creighton on Wednesday night.  Tip is set for 7pm, with pregame beginning at 6:30pm on 95.3-WSCO.
